Interestingly, I spoke with a mother of a Trump fan. She was appalled being a lifelong Dem, and threw out her only idea why he might be this way.

Apparently he was really bullied at school as a kid, and she felt this was his ‘revenge’ or his ‘time.’

So yes, the changing of the power dynamic is powerful.
