I completely agree. I was actually writing some thoughts down about Jacinda and her leadership success, and felt she has (amongst many other things going for her) 2 facets that improved her leadership over most of her male counterparts — Being female and being relatively young.

She believes in science and experts, and doesn’t have this male ego (much more prevalent in the US than Europe by the way) that gets in the way of even simple fact gathering. This masculinity is toxic on do many levels, and as we’ve seen here in the US, can even override lives being lost.
